Cookies & Cream Fudge, Is as Easy as 1,2,3

Cookies & Cream Fudge

Yesterday, I was trying to think of something yummy & delicious to bring to a get together. The first thing I thought of was Cookies & Cream Fudge.  I made it for Christmas, and it turned out to be a crowd pleaser.  It takes very little prep & cook time, which is something I REALLY needed considering I'm due to have my baby very soon(standing more than I have to is just no fun!)  I found this recipe at VeryBestBaking.com.  I apologize for not taking many pictures, but you have to work fast with this fudge, because it cools & hardens very quick making it difficult to work with.

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 6 minutes
Cooling Time: 60 minutes
Makes 48 pieces

Ingredients

  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter or margarine
  • 2/3 cup (5 fl.-oz. can)  Evaporated Milk Nestle
  • 2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) Nestle Toll House Premier White Morsels
  • 1 jar (7 oz.) marshmallow crème
  • 1/2 cup finely crushed Oreo Cookies
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1 cup crumbled Oreo Cookies

Directions

1.  LINE 9-inch-square baking pan with foil.

2.  COMBINE sugar, butter and evaporated milk in medium, saucepan. Bring to full rolling boil, stirring constantly. Boil, stirring constantly, for 3 minutes. Remove from heat.
3.  STIR in morsels, marshmallow crème, finely crushed cookies and vanilla extract. Pour into prepared pan. Sprinkle crumbled cookies on top. Gently swirl cookies into fudge using a knife or wooden skewer without touching bottom of pan. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until firm. Lift from pan; remove foil. Cut into 48 pieces. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
**Steps 2 & 3 are the parts where it's important to move quick, because as the fudge cools it's more difficult  to work with.

I Hope You Enjoy!
