A step by step guide, On How to make a Throwing Game from a Diaper Box!

What toddler doesn't love to throw things?! How about giving them an opportunity to throw things with a Throwing Game & turn it into a learning experience.  It's a great exercise for hand/eye coordination and motor skills!  You can check out http://www.livestrong.com/article/345579-throwing-games-for-children/ for more throwing games for kids.  One game that the site has listed is bean bag throw, which is similar to this game.  I used plastic Easter eggs, but later I plan to sew small bean or corn bags to be used with the game. I'm certain Ana will enjoy that, because when my husband & his friends play Corn Hole (it's like Bean Bag Toss, except the bags are filled with corn) she loves to "Help" them play.

How To Make the Throwing Game

What you will need:
Diaper Box
3 Plastic Cups
Glue/ Mod Podge
Colored Paper
Scissors
Paint Brush/Sponge
Pen
(Optional: fabric, wrapping paper, ribbon, stickers can all be used for decorating the box)

Step 1:  TRACE the bottom of the cup three times & cut each hole out (You will have to make the holes a little larger, so the cups fit all the way in)

Step 2: SPREAD glue or mod podge all over box with sponge or paint brush then cover with paper. Add a layer of mod podge on top of paper.  Adriana was the decorator & I just helped:))) She used glitter & painted spots with paint.   This could be a great game for a Birthday party, so you could decorate to match the theme of the party.

Step 3: FLIP out the side flap of box, so the box is at a small tilt.

Step 4:  THROW eggs to start playing! If your little players are old enough to understand, you can make cups worth different amount of points.

We have been playing with this game for days. Adriana has had a great time with it.
Oh! & did I mention it was absolutely free to make?! Which is pretty awesome considering I have seen similar games for $100+ in stores.

I hope you enjoy, I know we are!

I'm doing a round-up of DIY projects to do with a diaper box on Disney Baby and wondered if I could include yours. I'd use on photo with credit and link back to your full post. Is that okay?

    Thanks!
